Home >> Epson Unveils $900 720p 3D Projector
LAS VEGAS — Epson America is introducing this week its PowerLite Home Cinema 750HD 3LCD video projector that will target families and firsttime home-theater enthusiasts with 720p HD 2D and 3D capability.
The Epson 750HD, which will carry an $899 suggested retail when it ships to retail partners in late March, will project a watchable 2D or 3D image screen size of up to 120 inches.
“The Home Cinema 750HD is ready to display 3D from virtually any device out of the box unlike other 3D 720p projectors on the market today that are not compatible with Blu-ray players or game consoles, and require an additional format convertor for true 3D,” said Jason Palmer, marketing manager, Epson America. “Transforming the way we think about immersive 3D entertainment, the projector’s high brightness and portability provide an engaging 3D experience virtually anywhere — people are no longer confined to a dedicated theater room to see bright, crystal clear 3D movies, sports, video games and more.”
The Home Cinema 750HD outputs up to 3,000 ANSI lumens of color and white brightness through the incorporation of the company’s Bright 3D Drive Technology.
Designed for easy use and setup, the 750HD can be placed on a table top or mounted from a ceiling approximately 3.5 to 35.5 feet from the wall or screen.
It is also equipped with Easy-Slide image correction, which is an intuitive horizontal keystone adjustment slide control bar enabling off-center placement from the screen and onetouch correction.
Also featured with the unit are Epson’s latest RF 3D glasses power that lasts up to 40 hours (or up to three hours after a speedy three-minute quick charge).
The Home Cinema 750HD is equipped with a built-in speaker and a range of connectivity options to support DVD players, TV receivers, gaming consoles, PCs, Apple devices and smartphones.
It also features five preset color modes optimized for various viewing environments, and USB 2.0 and HDMI inputs.
The Home Cinema 750HD features a compact black design and offers several performance features for home entertainment needs, including:
The HD750HD’s E-TORL lamp offers extended lamp life of up to 5,000 hours average use. It also includes a special game mode to optimize colors to the content, even in well-lit rooms.
The HD750HD will ship with Epson’s topof- the-line service and support, including a two-year limited warranty, toll-free access to Epson’s PrivateLine priority technical support, 90-day limited lamp warranty and free twobusiness- day exchange with Extra Care Home Service.
