CHULA VISTA, CALIF. — Hitachi America’s Digital media division introduced this month its fall 2012 line of 3D smart TVs, UltraVision UltraThin LED TVs and LCD HDTVs.
Hitachi is offering smart TVs in a number of options, including all-in-one WiFi ready models and models that are “Roku-ready” to accept the new Roku USB streaming stick.
Hitachi’s UltraVision UltraThin LED sets offer FullHD 1080p resolution and either 120Hz or 60Hz refresh rates.
UltraVision models include the W806 smart 3DTV series in 48- ($929 suggested retail) and 55-inch ($1,399) screen sizes, offering 120Hz refresh rates for 3D content, built-in Wi-Fi and IPTV connectivity.
Cosmetics include a high-gloss piano-black bezel. The set ships with two pairs of 3D glasses.
The S606-series models all include an MHLcompatible HDMI input, capable of accepting an optional Roku streaming stick for direct control of a wide variety of streaming content.
The S606 also features a 120Hz FullHD 1080p panel and meets the government’s Energy Star 5.3 power standard guidelines.
The series comes in a platinum finish in 42- ($699), 46- ($899) and 55-inch ($1,399) screen sizes, all featuring Hitachi’s E-LED UltraThin bezel design.
Hitachi’s Value-series TVs offer three options – the S406, H306 and H316 – all with an ultra-thin bezel, surround sound and Dolby Digital sound.
The S406 series comes in a platinum finish and includes a 32-inch model ($449) with 60Hz refresh rate and 720p HD resolution. It offers a black bezel design.
The H306 series includes a 29-inch model ($329) with 720p HD resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The H316 offers three sizes at 29 ($329), 32 ($399) and 39 inches ($499) with 60Hz refresh rates and FullHD 1080p resolution.
All three sizes come with Long Life LED edge lighting, PicturePerfect video processing, PC input via RGB and a sleep timer.
Hitachi also sells matching 32- and 40-inch class soundbars with CONEQ 3D Sound technology, delivering a natural sound stage for smooth and clear sound reproduction.
