If the reports popping up on the web today are accurate, Apple plans to announce the iPad 2 on March 2.
The primary indicator that something will happen are invitations that have been received by certain members of the media (not me) asking them to come to an event next week in San Francisco.
According to the Associated Press, “The invitation shows a calendar page with the upper right hand corner peeling away to reveal an iPad underneath. The large “2″ on the calendar page denotes the event’s March 2 date and could be another hint that Apple is about to unveil the follow-up to the original iPad.”
This is the general MO for Apple when it arranges these events.
