Las Vegas — ZTE is launching its first two AWS-banded CDMA 1x phones, which also operate in the 850/1900MHz spectrum.

The new models will join ZTE’s first U.S. phone, an 850/1900MHz phone that’s already available through MetroPCS. The carrier plans to offer AWS-band service.

The C78 candybar phone sports VGA camera, Web browsing and Bluetooth. The C79 music phone is a clamshell phone with an MP3 player, a 1.3-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, a microSD slot and dual displays. Additional details were unavailable.
