Dallas - The long-promised Wi-Fi-only version of Samsung's 7-inch Galaxy Tab has become available through four retailers at $349.

The retailers are Frys.com, TigerDirect.com, CircuitCity.com and CompUSA.com.

Cellular-equipped Galaxy Tabs were launched in the fourth quarter of 2010 and are currently available at $199 and up with a Verizon contract, $299 and up with Sprint contract, $249 and up with T-Mobile contract, and $549 for an AT&T-equipped version without contract but with prepaid service.

The Galaxy Tab runs on the Android 2.2 platform and features a 7-inch TFT display with a 1,024 by 600 resolution, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 16GB of internal memory, 32GB MicroSD card slot, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, front- and rear-facing video cameras, video chat and Samsung's Media Hub content service, which offers downloads of movies and TV programs for rent or purchase.
