GWSCA Sets 2nd Warranty Conference

Chicago — The Global Warranty and Service Contract Association (GWSCA) will hold its second annual conference and training event here Sept. 16-18 at the historic Palmer House Hilton Hotel.

The conference, which last year drew speakers and attendees from across the warranty and service contract sectors, will carry the theme “Knowledge: The Profitable Advantage.”

Keynotes will be delivered by Oracle VP/general manager Susan Zwinger and Lawrence Mason, a senior shareholder of the Chicago law firm Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney.

Zwinger, who oversees Oracle’s global systems support innovation and technology office, will discuss the role of big data in warranty and service-contract management.

Mason will explore privacy concerns, liability risks and other issues that businesses face in the still-emerging big-data era.

The training program will include seminars on “Warranty in Practice: Using Warranty to Drive Sales”; “Warranty Finance and Actuarial”; and “Warranty and Service Contract Management Systems.”

“We anticipate a great conference,” said GWSCA president Terry Hawkins.

Added conference chairperson Paul Wojcicki: “The response to date has been better than originally anticipated.”

Sponsorship and speaking opportunities are still available. For more information, visit GWSCA.org or contact Hawkins at [email protected] or Wojcicki at [email protected].
