Ark. - Walmart will become the latest national retailer to sell Apple's iPads,
which will be available in hundreds of Walmart locations beginning Oct. 15 and
expanding to more than 2,300 stores by mid-November, the company announced.
began carrying the iPad earlier this month, and Best Buy has offered it since
the device's April launch. The device was introduced

will also sell the iPad on its website, but the retailer will ship it free to a
local store for pickup by the consumer.
The retailer will sell all versions of
the device at full retail. The models will be
displayed in an interactive display case that also features
Wi-Fi versions of the iPad are priced at a suggested $499 for the 16GB version,
$599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB. The Wi-Fi + 3G models retail for a suggested
$629 for the 16GB version, $729 for 32GB, and $829 for 64GB and can be
activated on a prepaid AT&T cellular-data plan.
In the U.S., the iPad is also sold through Apple's online
store, Apple's retail stores, select Apple authorized resellers and campus book
