Bentonville, Ark. - Walmart has named T-Mobile its 2011 "Supplier
of the Year" for its entertainment division and wireless category.

customers as well as grow in the dynamic wireless business."
Last October Walmart and T-Mobile began offering a $30 unlimited
web and text Monthly4G prepaid service plan to meet an increase in consumer
demand for prepaid wireless plans and faster data speeds. In addition,
T-Mobile's Walmart Family Mobile program, another exclusive prepaid offering,
saw increased sales throughout the year, the carrier said.
Seong Ohm, entertainment senior VP of Walmart U.S. noted that "more
people are relying on mobile devices as their primary phone and source for
entertainment and social networking," and that "T-Mobile has been a great
partner, allowing us to meet the needs of our customers with innovative
products and services at everyday low prices while achieving strong sales and
T-Mobile services, smartphones and handsets are available at
Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com.
Walmart presented its 2011 "Supplier of the Year" awards last
week in Orlando, Fla., during the retailer's annual Supplier Summit.
