Bentoville, Ark. — Wal-Mart’s logo is getting a makeover.

walmartThe new, cleaner design reflects ongoing remodels within the discounter’s flagship stores, and has already begun appearing on signage and in TV spots.

The updated logo actually harkens back to the company’s beginnings 46 years ago, when Wal-Mart was a single, unhyphenated word.

The latest version will begin replacing the current 16-year-old design on storefronts this fall, the retailer said.
