Jericho, N.Y. — VOOM, the high-definition-centric satellite TV provider, said it has reached a deal with Scripps Networks to add five standard-definition cable lifestyle channels to its programming lineup.

The new services include: Home & Garden Television (HGTV), Food Network, DIY-Do It Yourself Network, Fine Living and GAC-Great American Country.

DIY, Fine Living and GAC will be carried on VOOM’s Rainbow 2, which refers to the 16 transponders on the SES Americom AMC-6 satellite, previously leased from SES Americom, a SES Global company.
