Irvine, Calif. - Vizio said today that its 8-inch tablet with Wi-Fi will support the Hulu Plus subscription service. 

The highly anticipated app will bring the Hulu Plus library of TV and film content to subscribers using the Vizio tablet for $7.99 per month. The subscription service offers instant access to current and past seasons of shows like "Modern Family," "The X-Files," "Arrested Development" and "Family Guy," the hardware maker said.

Vizio reported that last week its tablet hit retailers nationwide at a price of $299. The Wi-Fi-enabled tablet features a three-speaker configuration for enhanced audio in landscape or portrait modes, built-in universal remote app for home-theater control and an HDMI port for HD playback on the big screen.
