NEWBURY PARK, CALIF. -Camera maker Vivitar Corp. has announced a strategic alliance with Lenmar Enterprises and STK International to offer consumer electronics under the Vivitar brand. The agreements are the first for Vivitar in non-photo categories.

Westlake Village, Calif.-based Lenmar manufactures rechargeable batteries for digital cameras, notebook computers, camcorders, and cellular and cordless phones.

Plans call for a Vivitar version of Lenmar's BatteryCentral.com, which allows consumers to order replacement batteries and power accessories for more than 10,000 models of CE devices.

Los Angeles-based STK International will provide a full line of Vivitar telephone, audio, video and computer accessories-including cables, cords and connectors. Other products will include cellphone accessories.
