Warren, N.J. - Sprint's Virgin Mobile prepaid brand expanded its selection of 3G smartphones with the launch of the LG Optimus V at $149.

LG's Optimus V is Virgin’s second Android smartphones.
The phone, the company's second Android model, is available today at RadioShack and Virgin's website and will be rolled out to additional retailers throughout the month.

The Android 2.2-based Optimus V joins the $199 Android 2.1-based Samsung Intercept smartphone and the $199 BlackBerry Curve in Virgin's 3G smartphone lineup.

The Optimus features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, 3.2-megapixel camera/camcorder, preloaded applications such as YouTube and Google Talk, Swype text input, contact and calendar sync via ActiveSync, Google Maps Navigation, document file viewer and built-in music player.

The phone is the second Virgin phone to offer free Virgin Mobile Live music-streaming service, which includes performances by Virgin Mobile Festival artists as well as their studio tracks and exclusive Festival performances.

LG Optimus V is similar to Sprint's postpaid LG Optimus S at $49.
