LG Adds First 4K Gaming Monitor

Englewood Cliffs, N.J. – LG is bringing its first 4K gaming monitor to the U.S. to join a 1080p model.

The new 27-inch 4K model features a 16:9 aspect ratio compared to the 1080p model’s 21:9.

The $599-suggested LG 27MU67 will be available later this month at select retailers nationwide including Amazon, Fry’s, Microcenter and B&H.

The monitor features 3840 x 2160 resolution, four-screen split mode for multi-tasking,

in-plane switching (IPS), and AMD’s FreeSync technology with a refresh range of 40-60Hz to eliminate image-tearing and stuttering that occurs when the monitor and graphics card are out of sync.  A dynamic action sync (DAS) mode minimizes input lag to 9.7 milliseconds.

The monitor also displays more than 99 percent of the sRGB spectrum.

It comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports supporting 60fps 4K content and HDCP 2.2 copy protection.
