Englewood Cliffs, N.J. - LG Electronics USA. today named industry veteran Jay Vandenbree as senior VP of sales.

Vandenbree assumes responsibility for leading the U.S. sales organization for LG home entertainment and home appliance products. He succeeds John Herrington, who has left LG, the company said.

Vandenbree, a 23-year Sony Electronics veteran, joined LG in September 2009 as go-to-market operations senior VP.

James Fishler succeeds Vandenbree as head of go-to-market operations, who has been LG Electronics USA's sales VP since June 2009 and is a former Sony veteran.

Herrington was named sales president of LG's combined CE and major appliance operations in January 2009.
