been named president/CEO of Sam’s Club. She replaces
Brian Cornell, who is
leaving the company to move closer to his children.
Gisel Ruiz, has been named
chief of operations for Walmart’s U.S. stores. Ruiz moves moves from personnel executive
VP to executive VP/COO, with responsibility for more than 3,800 locations
across three regional business units. In addition,
Karenann Terrell has been promoted from assistant
to chief information officer, succeeding
Rollin
Ford who was promoted to chief administrative officer with responsibility for the
company’s information systems division, global sourcing, global business processes,
global shared services and global customer insights …
Alain Monie, president/
COO of Ingram Micro, has been named CEO, effective April 20. The distributor said
Monie, who rejoined Ingram Micro in November as president and will retain that title,
succeeds
Gregory Spierkel … Intel announced a number of executive changes,
including the advancement of
Brian Krzanich, previously senior VP of worldwide
manufacturing to COO.
Andy Bryant will become executive chairman of the board,
up from vice chairman.
Dadi Perlmutter, who will continue to head the architecture
group, is being promoted to chief product officer.
Kirk Skaugen, Intel’s VP and
head of the company’s data center business, will now be in charge of the PC client
