Shin Oka has been named president of Sanyo Fisher, replacing outgoing president Takuya Kobayashi. Ray Navarrete has joined Direct Source Marketing as senior VP of merchandising. Navarrete was brought on board to help Direct Source, which sells excess inventories, expand the number of retailers it deals with. A consumer electronics and computer industry retail veteran, Navarrete was most recently senior VP of merchandising for New York-based retailer RCS Computer Experience. John Bradley, national buyer/accessories for Circuit City, has been named senior national buyer accessories for the chain. Kevin Hinz has joined Good Guys as category manager for DVD, VCR and games. Hinz has more than 25 years of experience in the CE industry, including six years as purchasing and merchandising manager (video) for United Audio, and nine years as regional sales manager for Mitsubishi Electronics, America. Cheryl Nelson-Madden, former e-business creative services manager at Next Century Communications, named CES marketing director for CEA. She is responsible for CES attendee marketing, exhibitor sales support and show branding. Amy Weiss, public affairs practice at Burson-Marsteller, joins RIAA as senior VP for communications. Leon Malmed, senior VP of sales and marketing with SanDisk is retiring from the company. The head of SanDisk's marketing and sales organization is now Nelson Chan, senior VP of worldwide marketing. Rob Kenneally, former president of Rysher Entertainment, was named executive VP of the ReplayTV Service. James M. Schneider, senior VP of finance of Dell Computer, has been named chief financial officer. Tony Mirando has been named sales VP at Emerson Radio. He was most recently director of sales for Casio's Auto Division. Donald Light, formerly of toy manufacturer Cadaco was named sales and marketing VP at Team Concepts. Reporting to Light will be new national sales manager Brian Rubinstein.
