Canton, Mass. — Tweeter Home Entertainment Group has amended its timeline for new store openings and remodels.

Locations to be upgraded with elements of Tweeter’s Las Vegas prototype store — including a concierge desk, a library and design tables — include Tampa, Fla., and Tysons Corner, Va., on Aug. 1. Tweeter’s Mission Viejo, Calif., store received the upgrades on May 17, and plans for remodeling a Boca Raton, Fla., location have been put on hold.

Complete renovations that will replicate the Las Vegas prototype are planned for Tweeter’s Burlington, Mass., store on July 15 and a Buckhead, Ga., unit on April 30, 2007.

Two stores will also be relocated within their markets this year: the Marlton, N.J., unit on Oct. 20, and the Concord Pike, Del., store on Nov. 10.

Tweeter plans to open a third prototype store in Henderson, Nev., on Dec. 1, with more to come in 2007, the company said.
