ViewSonic Reduces LCD TV Price Tags

ViewSonic announced price reductions across its HDTV NextVision LCD TV line.

New estimated street prices have been reduced to be as much as “40 percent lower than those of other major LCD TV manufacturers,” the company said.

ViewSonic’s LCD TV assortment now features screen sizes ranging from 13- to- 32W-inches. The company said prices were cut to as low as $449.

ViewSonic also just introduced at CEDIA Expo a NextVision 32W-inch HD-level LCD TV monitor, model N3200W, which will ship in October at a $2,999 suggested retail price.

“ViewSonic has been delivering high-quality, HD-capable displays to our customers for more than a decade,” said Gene Ornstead, ViewSonic TV products director. “By dropping the prices on our LCD TVs, we are making them more affordable and available to consumers with diverse budgets who want to add additional TVs in their home.”

Among the most popular models receiving price cuts were the 30W-inch N3020W and N3000W, which have both been reduced to $1,999 ESPs. The 20-inch N2000 LCD TV will be available for $599 after a limited-time mail-in rebate.

Many ViewSonic LCD TVs incorporate its exclusive 1:1 full screen technology that gives scaling options and a “full picture” experience to consumers, ViewSonic said.

All models are backed by a one-year limited warranty on parts, labor and backlight. All are eligible for the company’s optional Express Exchange program, which guarantees a replacement monitor within 48 hours, where service is available.

The VP912b, which is shipping now at a $719 ESP, is positioned in ViewSonic’s ThinEdge professional LCD monitor series. The monitor’s attributes were said to make it “ideal for gaming, video and multimedia applications.”
