Hollywood, Calif. – VEFXi said Tuesday it has joined the International 3D Society (I3DS).
Craig Peterson, VEFXi founder and CEO, has joined the the I3DS Board of Governors alongside Grant Anderson of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Ron Geller of Dolby Laboratories, Bob Whitehill of Pixar and others.
VEFXi’s 3D display technologies are said to correlate with the International 3D Society’s goals in “advancing the art and technologies of stereoscopic 3D content.”
Although the society deals primarily with stereoscopic 3D, VEFXi has technologies for auto-stereoscopic 3D (glasses-free 3D).
