Sam’s Club Launches TCL 48” TV For $449

Corona, Calif. – TCL (The Creative Life) said Thursday that Sam’s Club is adding this month its new 48-inch 1080p 120Hz direct-backlit LED HDTV as a nationwide in-store exclusive at a $449 member value price.

The 48-inch unit is the first model of TCL’s new 2014 lineup to be available at retail. The line includes 23-inch through 55-inch screen sizes, most of which will become available later this spring.

“While TCL has established itself as one of the largest HDTV brands in the world, we are new to the U.S. market, and it is important that we offer U.S. consumers great technology at an amazing price so that they will experience our brand,” said Michelle Mao, TCL North America president. “We are excited to work with Sam’s Club to offer their members this high-quality HDTV at a great value.”

Beyond the aggressive price, TCL’s model 48FS4690 for Sam’s Club offers a slim frame design and advanced picture performance.

Sam’s Club members who purchase the set get a two-year warranty as part of the member value.

Features include FullHD 1080p resolution, a 120Hz Clear Motion Index (CMI) refresh rate, 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, three HDMI inputs and a USB port.

The set also has an MHL-compliant HDMI input and is certified Roku Ready for use with the first-generation Roku Streaming Stick.

The set is said to exceed Energy Star 6.0 power-usage guidelines.
