New York - Storage maker Transcend has released a new portable hard drive line, the StoreJet 25A.

The StoreJet 25A3 is a USB 3.0 model and is available in three size capacities. The 500GB will carry a $123 suggested retail, the 750GB will be $147, and the 1TB will be $194.

The StoreJet 25A2 has a USB 2.0 interface and comes in the same three capacities. Respective pricing is $114, $138 and $182.

The company said the drives are ruggedized to defend against data loss from accidental shock, and have a shock-reducing damper system.
