What’s Going On At Gamescom 2015

Gamescom 2015 is being held in Cologne, Germany, this week. The video game trade show, which is open to both the public and the trade, is where the industry and its players can preview what’s expected to be hot this holiday season. Her are just a few peeks on what’s happening, and we’ll update this as more news comes out of the show.

Xbox: It’s an important time for Microsoft, which intends to rope Xbox in tightly and seamlessly with its Windows 10 ecosystem. It’s adding DVR functionality to the Xbox One, as well as a Chatpad that lets users more quickly message one another (available November). Also shown: Minecraft lead designer Jens Bergensten previews Mojang’s new game, known as “Cobalt.”
