CES SuperSessions Slate Set

New York – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) today announced the lineup of 2014 International CES SuperSession conferences.

Conceived to cover game-changing technologies and trends, SuperSessions spotlight industry experts and out-of-the-box ideas and discussions, according to CEA.

“From sensors and robotics to 3D printing and the rise of the 2nd screen, the 2014 SuperSessions will cover industry developments that are changing the way we consume and interact with technology,” said Karen Chupka, senior VP, events and conferences. “With industry leaders, tech executives, futurists and innovators, CES SuperSessions will feature the voices that are shaping our industry.”

SuperSessions include:

• The Brand Matters SuperSession: Technology as Muse – Inspiring Innovation: In this SuperSession, visionaries from the worlds of entertainment, education, publishing and advertising discuss how technology pushes them to test the boundaries of their creativity. (Jan. 7, 2014, 10-11 a.m. LVCC, North Hall N255)

• 2nd Screens Are Reinventing the TV Experience: Join 2nd screen pioneers who, by adding a companion “little” screen experience to sports, reality series, awards shows and prime time programming, are making the “big” connected screen even bigger. Panelists include Tracey Garvin, senior VP, Sony Home Entertainment; Luis Goicouria, senior VP, PGA Tour; and Anthony Zuiker, creator and executive producer of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” (Jan. 7, 1-2 p.m. LVCC, North Hall N255-257)

• CNET’s Next Big Thing: The New Hardware: This panel investigates where traditional manufacturers stand and which new players are leading the hardware revolution. Panelists include Mike Bell, VP/GM of new devices, Intel; Jim Buczkowski, technical fellow and director, electrical and electronics systems, research and advanced, Ford; Julie Larson-Green, executive VP of devices and studios, Microsoft; and Sonny Vu, CEO and founder, Misfit Wearables. • CES 2015: How Today’s Emerging Technologies Will Affect Tomorrow’s Devices: This session from Engadget will feature some of the top names in the world of 3D printing, alternative interfaces, wearables, robotics, transportation and home automation to separate the fads of today from the game changing technologies of tomorrow. The moderator will be Engadget’s director of media, Brian Heater. (Jan. 8, 10-11 a.m. LVCC, North Hall N255-257)
