CEA: More Than 150 Midwest Companies To Attend CES

Arlington, Va. — More than 150 technology companies based in the Midwest region of the United States (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin) will exhibit during 2013 International CES.

The show runs Jan. 8-11, 2013, in Las Vegas.

“OWC is primed to once again create CES headlines by introducing leading-edge technology products both consumers and professionals will crave,” said Larry O’Connor, founder and CEO of Other World Computing, based in Woodstock, Ill. “At our LVCC North Hall booth 5812, we’ll feature next generation SSDs, Thunderbolt connection storage, Jupiter mini-SAS storage, and the only SSD/Enclosure solution for Apple notebooks. Last year’s CES media star, the Power2U USB/AC outlet, will also shine with new enhancements.”

The 2013 CES will feature more than 20 market-specific TechZones. Returning hot spots at the show include Eureka Park, with more than 140 entrepreneurs, startups and small companies. This is an increase of 40 percent over the 2012 Eureka Park, as well as the iLounge Pavilion, featuring more than 440 exhibitors spanning 120,000 net square feet of i-related products, located in the LVCC North Hall and the LVH.

“CES has become our most important tradeshow of the year,” stated Jay Foght, president of Jaymo, based in Wisconsin.  “The breadth of attendees including our buyers makes this the premier show to introduce new products.”

At the show, Jaymo will bow PersonalizeItYourself.com, a free online design tool for the PixCase.  This allows customers to personalize and create iPhone case designs online and then print them at home. Visit Jaymo at the Las Vegas Hilton booth 45009.

Other popular TechZones highlighting the latest technology at the 2013 CES include Gaming Showcase, GoElectricDrive, MEMS, Mobile TV, PMA@CES, Robotics, Safe Driver, Sustainable Planet, and Wireless Mobility Brought to you by Qualcomm and Zigbee.

Additionally, lifestyle TechZones featured at the 2013 CES include Digital Health Summit, HigherEdTECH, Kids@Play, MommyTech, Silvers Summit and FitnessTech.

“We are excited to come to the 2013 CES and take part in the CEA’s plans to bridge the intersection of healthcare and technology. HealthSpot will unveil a cutting-edge tele-health system that provides high quality medical diagnostics to acute care patients anytime, anywhere. The HealthSpot Station is a unique private, walk-in kiosk that offers patients live access to board-certified doctors via high-definition, videoconferencing and interactive, digital medical devices,” said Steve Cashman, CEO of HealthSpot, based in Dublin, Ohio. “Our mission is to work with top healthcare providers to extend affordable and convenient access to healthcare within every community across America.”

The 2013 CES will feature 3,000 global technology companies unveiling the latest consumer technology products and services across 15 major product categories including the latest in audio, automotive electronics, connected home technologies, digital imaging/photography, electronic gaming, entertainment/content and more.
