Montebello, Calif. - Industry veteran Michael Townsen has joined  TEAC America as sales director of its CE division.

"With over 30 years of experience and a track record of success, we are extremely pleased to have Michael on board," commented Koichiro Nakamura, president, TEAC America, in a statement.

Most recently Townsen was the field sales VP for Pioneer Electronics USA, selling audio products into the retail and distribution channel.

Townsen held other various senior-level sales and marketing positions during his 28 years with Pioneer. He was instrumental in leading Pioneer on a national level to become a widely distributed and highly recognized consumer electronics brand.

He will report to Les Luzar, senior sales VP for TEAC America.
