Irvine, Calif. - Toshiba said Monday that it has launched its next-generation candy-bar-format HD video camera -- the  Camileo AIR10 ($160 suggested retail) -- exclusively through the Home Shopping Network (HSN) for a limited time before rolling out to retail stores and e-commerce dealers in early May.

The AIR10 HD Wi-Fi camcorder features a compact and lightweight design and allows users to easily and wirelessly upload their videos and photos in 1080p FullHD resolution to social networks and other online sites from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection.

The Air10 HD includes a 2-inch TFT LCD screen, 5-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS image sensor, and a 16x digital zoom with image stabilization.

The video camera will also serve as a webcam, allowing for wireless broadcasts online via USTREAM.
