Minneapolis - Target is offering HDTVs at a 5-percent discount to holders of its REDcard-branded Visa credit and debit cards.

The savings is on top of the 5-percent discount applied to all qualifying Target purchases made with REDcards.

The offer is good through Feb. 29 on in-store purchases only and requires a coupon that was mailed to cardholders.

The discount comes as retailers and manufacturers look to clear out their remaining 2011 TV inventory to make way for the new 2012 lines.
