LG Posts Another Tablet Gain With Carriers

Dallas – AT&T expanded its selection of LTE tablets from LG to two with the May 29 launch of the LTE-equipped LG G Pad F 8.0 with stylus through all AT&T channels.

Three LG LTE-equipped tablets are also available with Verizon, and earlier this year, Sprint added its first LG tablet.

At AT&T, consumers can buy the tablet for $0 down and $12.50/month for 20 months on an installment-payment plan or $149 with a two-year contract. Users can add the tablet to a new or existing Mobile Share Value plan for $10 per month.

At AT&T, the G Pad F 8.0 joins the G Pad 7.0 at $10/month for 20 months or $99 with two-year contract. It lacks stylus.

The 8-inch 12-ounce G Pad F 8.0 features HD+ display, Android 5.0 OS, 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 16GB storage, 128GB microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear-facing auto-focus camera, full-size USB port, and 4,200 mAh battery with up to 9.5 hours of use. The display features One Glass Solution and Zero Gap technologies to deliver a clear and bright picture in almost any lighting situation, the company said.

With QPair, consumers can, via Bluetooth, use the tablet to answer calls and reply to messages received on an Android 4.1 or higher smartphone equipped with a QPair app. With QuickMemo, people can use the included stylus to take meeting notes. Dual Window enables two apps to be open on the screen simultaneously.
