Dell To Expand Android Tablets With Detachable Keyboard

San Francisco — Dell will expand its selection of Android-based tablets with detachable keyboards with May availability of the 10.5-inch Venue 10 7000 with OLED display.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop tablet will start at $499, or $629 with optional magnetically attached backlit keyboard. The tablet will be available on Dell.com in the U.S., Canada and China.

The Venue 10 7000 features a barrel edge to make it easier to hold and carry. When slotted into the magnetically attached keyboard, the tablet can be used in five different configurations: tablet, slate, stand, tent or clamshell.

The device has a 10.5-inch OLED 2,560 by 1,600 screen, quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, and Intel’s RealSense snapshot depth camera, which takes a depth map for captured pictures.
