Coby Tablets Get More Business-Friendly

Lake Success, N.Y. — Coby is making its Android tablets more business-friendly.

The company partnered with CloudLink, known for its Android productivity apps, and Mobile Systems, a provider of personal productivity software, to offer an expanded range of preloaded business-focused apps for Coby’s Kyros line of tablets. The apps are available on tablets currently shipping to retailers.

 CloudLink’s Productivity Toolbox, available on all new tablets in Coby’s 2013 line, features almost a dozen applications and Cloud services, including 5GB of free Cloud storage. CloudLink includes a variety of business-based applications from leading developers, such as SugarSync, SwiftKey, Catch, F-Secure, PrintHand, Jump Desktop, SignEasy, PayAnywhere and others. The apps offer such capabilities as anti-virus protection, remote desktop connection, and the ability to print and make credit card transactions right from the device.

 Coby’s new tablets also come preloaded with Mobile System’s OfficeSuite, a free universal document viewer for Android. OfficeSuite lets users open and view a wide range of files and attachments, including: Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and PDF and Zip files. Users can also share files through email or via popular applications such as Google Docs, Dropbox and more. A built-in upgrade option also allows users to make edits
