AtGames Tablet Accesses Game-Streaming Service

El Segundo, Calif. – A subsidiary of AtGames, which markets classic videogame consoles and portables, has rolled out a $149-suggested gaming tablet that taps into its cloud-based game-streaming service.

The zooti.HD tablet from the AtGames Cloud subsidiary is already available nationwide at Target stores at a promotional price of $99, including a free month of streaming service. The company, which will exhibit at International CES, plans to add additional retailers.

The Google-certified 7-inch tablet is preloaded with more than 85 classic family-friendly SEGA games but uses Wi-Fi to access a $9.99/month zooti subscription, which delivers unlimited access to a library of PC and Android games. The cloud-based service delivers “a console-quality play experience on a tablet,” the company said. Titles include Lego Harry Potter, Batman Arkam City, Moto GP14, Marvel Superheroes and more. New titles added on a regular basis.

The tablet also features a suite of parental controls to restrict content and limit access to social features for children. Up to six profiles per account are available so one subscription can be used by up to six family members. Each profile can be customized with its own access rights, including daily time limits, content management, and other parental controls.

Target is also offering a $10 credit toward videos from the retailer’s new video streaming service, Target Ticket.

The tablet features a 1,280 by 800 IPS HD screen, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, HDMI port to display games on a TV, Bluetooth, all Google features, and access to the Google Play store.

Subsidiary AtGames Cloud is focused on building a gaming platform dedicated to live streaming games, the company said.
