Bellevue, Wash. -
T-Mobile outlined plans to offer a 4G-equipped Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and
revealed the pricing and availability of the previously announced 4G-equipped Huawei-made
Springboard
tablet.
The two tablets
will bring the carrier's selection of 4G HSPA+ tablets to four for the
holidays, all with the tablet-optimized Android Honeycomb OS.
Beginning Nov. 16
at T-Mobile stores, consumers can purchase the T-Mobile SpringBoard for a down
payment of $179 and the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus for a down payment of
$249 at T-Mobile retail stores. Consumers must also make 20 interest-free
monthly payments of $10 each. The prices are after a $50 mail-in rebate and
require a two-year service agreement.
In T-Mobile's
tablet selection, the 7-inch SpringBoard and 7-inch Galaxy Tab 7.0 join the
LG-made
T-Mobile
G-Slate with Google with 8.9-inch screen and the
Samsung
Galaxy Tab 10.1 at down-payment prices ranging from $179 to $399. All also
operate in international HSPA+ networks.
As
previously announced by Samsung, the Tab 7.0 Plus will also be available through
retailers in a 16GB Wi-Fi version beginning Nov. 13 at $399. T-Mobile's version
is the only 7.0 Plus version announced with embedded cellular.
