Fla. - MERA (Mobile Electronics Retailer's Association) will produce
dealer-focused educational seminars during the 25th annual Spring Break
Nationals Car Audio Expo, show organizer SBN Expo Group announced.
which will be free to dealers that pre-register, will be the show's first
educational seminars other than product training sessions offered by suppliers
to their own dealers during the previous two shows, said Paul Papadeas,
president/CEO of SBN Expo Group and IASCA, which is hosting a soundoff at the

The seminars will
be held here on the weekend of March 19-20 during combined consumer/trade days
as well as on March 21, which marks the event's first trade-only day. Registration

"Common sense dictates that dealers won't have
to miss their lucrative Friday and Saturday workdays by attending SBN on Sunday
and Monday," the organization said of the addition of a Monday trade-only
day. The dedicated trade day will also "give dealers and manufacturers a
better opportunity to conduct business on the show floor without the mass of
consumers interfering," the company said.

survive this recession are the professionals that welcome education," added Papadeas.
"Offering these seminars at no cost to them is our way of leading the industry
to step up and support the needs of retailers to ensure our collective success
in the future."

SBN is working on
offering prizes to be awarded to dealers who attend the seminars.
organization announced plans last April for a trade-only day, exhibitor
commitments are up more than 30 percent to date, the organization said.
At last year's
event, attendance grew to more than 14,000, and the number of supplier and
retailer booths grew to 50 from 30.
