TruAudio Adds Architectural Speakers, Sound Bar

Hurricane, Utah – TruAudio is lowering the opening price on its Revolv in-ceiling home-theater speakers and expanding its line of outdoor speakers that look lite outdoor spotlights.

The company is also launching a new soundbar.

The new outdoor speaker, the $479-suggestedAS-2, joins the smaller AS-1 in the company’s Acoustiscape landscape-speaker series. The speakers are staked into the ground with included stakes or mounted on walls with optional wall mounts.

The new two-way model, shipping Nov. 25, features 1-inch tweeter, 6.5-inch woofer and 50-watt output into 8 ohms compared with the AS-1’s 0.75-inch tweeter, 4.5-inch woofer, and 30-watt output. Both models can also be integrated into 70-volt and 100-volt outdoor audio systems, and both can be paired with the company’s SubTerrain underground subwoofer.

Three new in-ceiling home-theater speakers are part of the Revolv series and are priced at suggested retails ranging from $168 to $217. The trio features 6.5-inch woofers and join other Revolv models with 6.5– 8-inch woofers.

Revolv is positioned an affordable performance speaker designed for in-ceiling home theater installations. The models use the latest version of the company’s frameless Ghost grille to deliver a frameless, almost flush-mount look.

The REV6P-LCR.1 and .2 can be used center, left or right channels, and they are acoustically matched with the REV6P-SUR.1.They come in black and white and round and square versions.

 The three-way REV6P-LCR.1 features 6.5-inch woofer, 2-inch midrange, and 0.75-inch silk soft-dome tweeter and is rated from 5 watts to 150 watts. The two-way REV6P-LCR.2 features 6.5-inch woofer and 0.75-inch silk soft-dome tweeter, with 7-watt to 75-watt rating. The two-way REV6P-SUR features 6.5-inch woofer, 0.75-inch silk soft-dome tweeter and rating up to 75 watts.

The new SLIM-PWR44 active two-channel soundbar, priced at a suggested $1,500, joins four other soundbars and features a brushed-aluminum chassis that is only 2.9-inches-deep. It is 42-inches-wide and 5.9-inches-tall. The chassis incorporates four 4.25-inch long throw woofers, two 1-inch silk-dome tweeters and an amplifier rated at 40 watts RMS with less than 1 percent THD and 60 watts maximum with less than 10 percent THD. It also features Bluetooth 4.0 streaming with AptX, plus built-in wireless transmitter to send low bass signals to up to eight wireless subwoofer receivers.

Switching inputs consist of one optical, one coaxial and one analog RCA. The bar takes volume commands from most TV IR remotes.
