Some Klipsch Energy SKUs To Sell At Mass Chains

Under the Energy brand, select products in Energy’s Power Bar series will be open to general merchandise chains, product manager Gavin Reeg told TWICE.

The select products include two recently unveiled Power-series powered subwoofers at a suggested $199 and $299. The selection of products for general merchandise chains will be expanded to include a $249-suggested Energy-brand Power Bar 1 active soundbar.

The $249 Power Bar 1 features two 3-inch by 5-inch woofers operating down to 80Hz and two 3-inch full-range drovers.

The subs, which were due in stores in July, are the Energy Power 10 subwoofer with 10-inch, front-firing woofer, amplifier with 50-watt-continuous output, and rear slot port to increase efficiency. It also features switchable 0- to 180-degree phase control, two line-level RCA inputs, two speaker-level inputs, electronic circuit to prevent driver over-excursion, auto power on, and dimensions of 12 inches by 11.5 inches by 14 inches.

The step-up sub adds a 12-inch driver and 75-watt-continuous amp. It is 14 inches by 13.4 inches by 16 inches.

The Power series also includes the$599-suggested Energy Power Bar Elite and $399-suggested Energy Power Bar, but those models are not open to general-merchandise chains, Reeg said.

These models are available in such outlets as hhgregg, ABC Warehouse and P.C. Richard & Son. Both models became available last year and represented Energy’s first active soundbars. Both also come with included active subwoofers.

Energy also plans sometime next year to add affordable passive speakers to the Power series, which is focused on more affordable alternatives to the brand’s Veritas and Connoisseur speaker series.
