Franklin, Tenn. — Emotiva Audio, which just recently began selling its affordable audiophile products through retail, has begun shipping the Airmotiv 3b portable speakers.
Priced at a suggested $199 for each pair, the speakers measure 5.5 inches by 6.75 inches by 4 1/8 inches, and have a two-way, tuned-port design with a separate 0.75-inch dome tweeter and 3-inch long-throw woofer. They are powered by an integrated 30-watt x 2 Class D amplifier (60 watts stereo).
Other features include a 32-bit digital signal processor, Bluetooth 2.0 with AptX, separate line input, and a control panel on the top of the right speaker.
They are the most affordable powered speaker pair the company currently offers.
