Indianapolis – Klipsch priced its first Klipsch-branded Bluetooth speaker at a suggested $399 and plans summertime availability of a wireless digital media speaker with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Both speakers are part of a new Klipsch Music Center series that will expand later in 2013 and 2014. The series commemorates the brand’s sponsorship of the Klipsch Music Center amphitheater in Indianapolis.

The Bluetooth speaker is the Klipsch Music Center KM3, a tabletop AC/DC model with 130-watt 2.1-channel speaker system and ability to stream AptX and AAC over Bluetooth. It features two 2-inch full-range drivers, a dedicated 5.25-inch subwoofer, charging of USB-connected mobile devices, and 26-hour operation on eight D-cell batteries.

The KM3 is available in black or white on the company’s website  and will be available at authorized dealers in June.

The second Klipsch Music Center speaker, tentatively priced in the range of $2,000, will be the brushed-aluminum Klipsch Music Center Stadium, a 200-watt three-way tri-amplified speaker. It will be equipped with Bluetooth AptX and AAC streaming, Wi-Fi-based Apple AirPlay, and built-in DLNA-certified Wi-Fi 802.11b/g transceiver. It provides for a networked or direct Wi-Fi connection to Apple and Android devices to stream music. It will also feature USB port to charge smartphones and tablets.

The two digital-media speakers will join the $549-everday G-17 Air, which features AirPlay, Wi-Fi-based Direct Connect, and Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad USB port to charge Apple devices and stream their music over USB cable.
