Jamo Unveils Flagship Home Theater Speakers

Indianapolis — Klipsch Group brand Jamo has begun shipping its second-generation flagship series of passive home theater speakers, which consist of 10 models priced up to $3,500 for a pair of floorstanding tower speakers.

The new Concert Series consists of three floorstanding towers priced from a suggested $1,000 to $3,500/pair, three bookshelf models priced from $500 to $1,500/pair, two center channels at $400 and $1,000, and two surrounds at $700 and $1,400/pair.

The speakers feature hand-polished high-gloss finishes, satin-painted MDF baffles, polished chrome logos, satin aluminum center plugs and stabilizer feet to deliver an “aesthetically elegant” appearance, the company said.

New and improved technologies to improve performance include redesigned silk-dome tweeter diaphragms with extra-large surrounds to offer lower distortion and greater high-frequency extension. New hybrid composition conical cones are said to combine the stiffness and strength of aluminum or titanium with the transient response and smoothness of wood fiber. All-new long-displacement surrounds for woofers and midrange drivers deliver low-frequency response that’s more natural and open, the company said. And an improved Anti-Diffraction WaveGuide (ADW) technology “produces more immersive and impactful listening outside of the sweet spot,” the company said.
