Braven Bluetooth Speakers Stepping Up

Salt Lake City — Braven plans second-quarter availability of five new portable Bluetooth speakers that take the company’s selection up in price point to a suggested $349 from $299 and expands the selection of ruggedized speakers.

The company also plans second-quarter availability of a Bluetooth music mixer and a Bluetooth conference-call speaker.

The new Bluetooth speakers include three luxury models in the Designer series: the $249 Braven 1100, $299 2200b, and $349 2300b. The latter is the company’s highest output speaker to date. All three feature AptX streaming over Bluetooth. The 100 also features ability to pair with select other Braven speakers to reproduce separate left and right channels through two speakers. It will be available in six colors.

The 2200b and 2300b deliver stereo from a single chassis, feature five interchangeable grille-color options, and offer over-the-air updates.

For active outdoor users, the rugged $149 BRV-Pro has IPX7 waterproof rating, aircraft-grade aluminum chassis, a 20-hour battery that doubles as a power bank, and such accessories as a 2,800 mAh extended-battery pack and a folding solar-charging panel. Other accessories include an LED pad that doubles as a lantern, Qi wireless charging pad, and a stack plate to stack multiple BRV-Pro speakers.

The accessories are priced from a suggested $29 to $49.

Also new: the $149 Balance speaker, a thin speaker designed for use in fitness studios, on decks or in lockers with IPX5 waterproof rating, 4,400 mAh battery and six color choices.

The $199 Braven 805, already available, features a 4,400 mAh battery that can charge USB devices, ability to pair with a second Braven speaker to create separate left- and right-channel speakers, and choice of nine colors.

The $99 Bluetooth mixer, called the Braven Fuse, lets users mix and fade two stereo Bluetooth streams for playback through up to two Bluetooth speakers. Onboard controls include individual volume, low, mid, and high EQ for each audio source; source-level equalizer, and headphone-out switch to listen to audio sources. It is less than 5-inches-long and delivers 12 hours of playback time. It can also be hard-wired to speakers and sources.

For Bluetooth conference calls, the $299 Braven Bridge has dual omnidirectional microphones, aluminum construction with leather accents, noise-cancelling technology, a 2,800 mAh  battery. It doubles as a music speaker.
