Park Ridge, N.J. — Sony updated its Compact Vault hard disc drive-based photo storage device today with the introduction of an 8GB model.

The Compact Vault features slots for Compact Flash Type II memory cards and replaces a 5GB version. It measures in at 1.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches long.

The drive ships in June for a suggested $259.99.
