Research Triangle Park, N.C. - Sony Ericsson plan new Bluetooth options, including a Bluetooth-controlled matchbox-size racecar and an unusual two-piece Bluetooth headset.

Both will be available in the fourth quarter on the company’s web site.

The Bluetooth-controlled racecar, tentatively priced at less than $100, is positioned as an executive toy. It can be controlled from any Bluetooth-equipped wireless phone.

The HBH-200 Bluetooth headset consists of a small control unit that can be clipped to clothing or worn with a lanyard. The control unit, which connects via a thin wire to an earpiece/microphone, includes a caller ID display that also shows the phone's call list. Users can dial from the call list. Pricing was unavailable.
