Straight Talk Adding More Alcatel OneTouch Phones

Irvine, Calif. – Alcatel OneTouch is expanding its smartphone selection through prepaid-MVNO TracFone and TracFone’s Straight Talk brand, which is available exclusively in Walmart.

The phone maker’s smartphone selection with Straight Talk service will go to four from one next month with the launch of three new models at Walmart. Some of the models will also be available through TracFone’s Net 10 service, the phone maker added.

The three new phones with Straight Talk service are the POP Mega LTE at less than $250, POP Star LTE at less than $150, and 3G POP Icon at less than $150. The former two are described by the company as “two of the most affordable LTE devices in the market.”

The $250 POP Star Mega LTE features Android 4.3 OS, 6-inch qHD 540 x 960 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus, 2-megapixel front camera, 3,400mAh battery with 14-hour talk time, 4GB embedded memory, 32GB SD Card slot, and FM radio. It weighs 6.42 ounces.

The $150 POP Star LTE, also an Android 4.3 model, features a 4-inch WVGA 480×800 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB embedded memory, 32GM Micro SD Card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, and FM radio. It comes with 2,000mAh battery delivering up to 12 hours of talk time. It weighs 4.6 pounces.

The $150 POP Icon is a 3G phone with Android 4.4 OS, 5-inch FWVGA 854×480 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB embedded memory, 32GB MicroSD Card slot, FM with RDS, HD Voice, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, and 2,000mAh battery delivering 9.5 hours of talk time.
