Sprint Expands Direct 2 You Delivery Service

Overland Park, Kansas – Sprint today expanded its Direct 2 You service to the New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver metro areas.

The expansion follows the program’s April rollout in Kansas City, Chicago and Miami.

In early July, Direct 2 You will hit Detroit, Washington, D.C., Tampa, and Dallas as part of a nationwide rollout to an unspecified number of major markets by the end of the year, Sprint said.

Under the program, Sprint plans to roll out a fleet of 5,000 vehicles that go to a customer’s home, office, or to other locations for free to deliver and set up phones, transfer content, and personalize settings. Sprint experts also perform on-site tutorials and offer tips to familiarize customers with the new phone.

The service is available only in specific delivery zones within participating markets and to “well-qualified” customers, Sprint said.

Eligible consumers include existing Sprint customers seeking an upgrade and consumers who want to switch to Sprint in the participating markets.

With the expansion, Direct2You is available in 28 cities. They are  Los Angeles, Anaheim, Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Laguna Beach, Long Beach, Newport Beach, West Hollywood, Pasadena, San Pedro and Santa Ana in the Los Angeles area; New York City and the New Jersey cities of Newark, Jersey City, Edison, Elizabeth and Paterson in the New York City metro area; San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and Berkeley in the San Francisco metro area; Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Golden in the Denver area; Chicago; Miami; and Kansas City.

The service was announced in April and was followed in May with the launch of a partnership between AT&T and e-tail startup GoEnjoy.com to offer free hand-delivery and in-person support service.
