Samsung’s Note 4 Price, Availability Released

Dallas – Samsung plans retail availability of its 5.7-inch Note 4 phablet on Oct. 17 through major retailers and carriers.

T-Mobile will make the Note 4 available at participating T-Mobile stores nationwide and online that day at a price of $0 down with 24 $31.24 monthly payments for a total of $749.76. Sprint will offer it with Sprint Spark tri-band LTE technology in Sprint stores that day under its Sprint Easy Pay installment plan at $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $30 for a total of $720.

 On the Verizon network, the phone will be equipped with XLTE service, which combines Verizon’s 700MHz spectrum with 1.7/2.1GHz Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum deployed in high-traffic areas. Verizon priced the phone at $299 with two-year activation, $699 without contract, or $34.99/month for 20 months under the Verizon Edge installment-payment plan. The carrier, however, didn’t say when the phone would be available in its stores. Although the phone is available for preorder Sept. 19, Verizon also didn’t say when it would ship to consumers.

For its part, AT&T didn’t say when the phone would be available in its stores, but it did say that preorders made starting tomorrow would begin to ship Oct. 14. Like Verizon, AT&T is pricing the phone at $299 with contract but at $825 without contract. Under the Next installment plans, users pay $41.30 per month with AT&T Next 12 or $34.42 per month with AT&T Next 18. With AT&T Next 12 and 18 , users can upgrade to a new phone after 12 months or 18 months, respectively. Users can also choose to keep the phone after 20 monthly payments under Next 12 or 24 payments under Next 18.

U.S. Cellular’s plans were unavailable.

 Retailers offering the phone on Oct. 17 include the Samsung Experience Shops in Best Buy as well as Amazon, Costco, RadioShack, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart. The retailers will participate in a promotion in which consumers who pre-order between Sept. 19 and Oct. 16 will get a guaranteed total trade-in of $200 on any working smartphone.

The LTE-equipped phablet features Android 4.4 KitKat, 5.7-inch Quad HD display, UltraHD playback and recording, 2.7GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, 192kHz/24-bit Flac high-resolution audio playback, and Samsung’s S Pen, which has been improved to offer a more natural brush effect said to emulate writing with a fountain or calligraphy pen. The phablet also offers multiple note-taking methods integrated with the S Note application. Snap Note, for example, lets users take a picture of paper notes and convert them to a digital S Note.

It also displays multiple apps at simultaneously, Samsung said.
