Posh Mobile, Uber Team For A Free Ride

U.S. smartphone and tablet maker Posh Mobile is teaming up with Uber in a cross promotion that awards free Uber rides to Posh Mobile users in the U.S. and abroad.

New and current Posh owners get a code that they can redeem for a free Uber credit up to $15 in the U.S. The credit varies by country. Consumers must use a Posh device to sign up for an Uber account for the first time to get a $15 credit added to their account.

The promotion, which runs through February 2017, is being promoted with on-line ads on the sites of Posh etailers Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and newegg.com. POS cards are available at retail stores.Posh makes unlocked GSM Android devices. It is backed by PCS Wireless, a $1 billion company that is also Posh’s master distributor. PCS Wireless distributes phones and other products in more than 80 countries.

Founded in 2013, Posh Mobile offers more than 15 dual-SIM tablets and smartphones. The products are sold through retailers, e-tailers, MVNOs and carriers around the world.

The company said it focuses on elegant design, new technology and competitive prices. One product is the Posh Mobile’s $89-suggested Micro X S240, launched late last year and said to be the industry’s smallest smartphone.
