AT&T Expanding Samsung Galaxy Selection With Express Prime, Express 3, Express J3

AT&T continues to expand its selection of Samsung smartphones with the launch of two prepaid GoPhone smartphones and a value-priced postpaid smartphone, all said to offer better specs than what the carrier offered on similarly priced devices in the past.

All three models are LTE-equipped phones with Android Marshmallow, the latest Android OS.

The prepaid Galaxy Express Prime GoPhone is available today at Att.com and AT&T-brand stores at $129. The phone is exclusive to AT&T.

The prepaid Galaxy Express 3 will be available at $79 through the same channels on May 6 along with the postpaid Galaxy J3. Its pricing starts at $5.67/month for 30 months for qualified customers on the AT&T Next 24 installment-payment plan.

Samsung already offers seven postpaid Samsung phones.

Here’s what the phones offer.

The $129 Galaxy Express Prime GoPhone comes with a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display with 557 PPI, quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, removable 2,600 mAh battery, 5- and 2-megapixel cameras, and an Easy Mode to customize the home screen to personal preferences with larger icons. LTE is available for the carrier’s 850MHZ, 1900MHz and AWS bands, the company’s website shows. It is available in dark gray.

The $79 Galaxy Express 3 prepaid GoPhone features a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 3- and 5-megapixel cameras, and 2,050 mAh battery delivering up to 12 hours of talk time. It’s available in white.

The postpaid Galaxy J3 steps up to offer enterprise features such as Knox hardware-level security, default 256-bit encryption and management capabilities by an IT department. It also features a 5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 15GB RAM, 5- and 2-megapixel cameras, 16GB storage, 128GB MicroSD slot, 2,600 mAh removable battery and Easy Mode.
