Fort Worth, Texas — Uniden America announced Friday that president Al Silverberg would be stepping down to “pursue a new business venture,” effective immediately. He will be succeeded by Rich Tosi, a nine-year Uniden veteran and former national sales manager.

In his role as president, Tosi will be responsible for leading the Japan-based subsidiary’s U.S. consumer electronics business.

“I am honored to be named president of Uniden America Corporation,” Tosi said in a statement announcing his appointment.

“I am very proud to be surrounded by so many talented people, each one committed to the growth of this company. With this team, I have no doubt that we will achieve new sales records, strengthen our retail relationships and continue to provide our customers with the finest products on the market today.”
