it will start shipping to retail this month its Aquos Quattron LE830 TV line,
featuring models in the 60-inch, 52-inch, 46-inch and 40-inch screen sizes.
All of the models feature Sharp's Quad pixel technology, called
Quattron, which adds the color Y (yellow) to the three primary colors: R (red), G (green) and B (blue) to expand the
color gamut, particularly in the green and yellow spectrum.
All models also include built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and a
connected Internet apps package, including CinemaNow, Netflix, Vudu, DLNA video
streaming and Aquos Advantage Live customer service.
All models also employ Sharp's proprietary edge-lit LED X-Gen LCD
Sharp said the advanced pixel control technology used in the sets
minimizes light leakage while offering a wider aperture to let more light
The LE830-series models also employ Quad Pixel Plus to improve
image resolution, Sharp said.
All models were designed to conform to Energy Star 5.1 energy
consumptions standards, for reduced power draw.
The 60-inch LC-60LE830U carries a $2,800 suggested retail; the
52-inch LC-52LE830U carries a $1,900 suggested retail; the LC-46LE830U carries
a $1,500 suggested retail; and the LC-40LE830U carries a $1,300 suggested
