Enfield, Conn. - John Schlenner has left his post as marketing and merchandising VP at Bernie's, the New England-area electronics and appliance chain.

Schlenner joined the independent NATM dealer in February 2006 as appliance merchandising VP after 18 years at Sears, where he last served as VP of consumer electronics. He quickly became the third-ranking executive behind Bernie's president/COO Mike Honeyman and CEO Milton Rosenberg.

No successor to Schlenner has been announced, and it is unclear whether there were additional organizational changes at the 15-store retailer. Calls to Bernie's were not returned at post time.
